We held our #WomenWhoBike ride with Athleta on Sunday, Sept 17th. Over 30 ladies explored San Francisco by bike, strengthening our community of female cyclists.
September is Women's Bike Month, among other initiatives we celebrated with a ladies bike ride through SF exploring what the city has to offer via bike share, in partnership with Athleta.
With only 34% of bike share users identifying as female, we want to help more women feel comfortable and confident riding the city streets - together. The event began at Athelta Sutter St with light refreshments, registration and a photo op. We began the ride at the nearby Post and Kearny station. Everyone unlocked their Ford GoBike via the app and took off for our first adventure of the day - an exclusive class at Equinox.
All of the ladies rode to our Powell St BART Station at Market and 4th, just a few feet from Equinox Market St, in time for our private barre bootcamp class.
After all that sweating, it was time for some refreshments at Pressed Juicery on 1st Street. A quick cycle to our station at Mechanics Monument Plaza and we all enjoyed a free drink!
Following our pick-me-up pitstop we headed to SFMOMA for an exclusive highlights tour and admission to the limited time Edvard Munch exhibition.
We ended the day long celebration with a special discount with our event partner, Athleta.
